How it works

Every ticket you buy earns coins.

Coins are earned on every ticket, never bought.

The more you spend, the more coins you earn, and coins are never bought. Here is the whole of it, in plain English.

  1. 1

Enter a draw. From a few pence a ticket, or free by post at the same odds.

  2. 2

Buy a ticket, earn coins. The more you spend, the more you earn.

  3. 3

Coins play the arcade.Every result is immediate.

  4. 4

Turning up earns coins.A small grant each day you log in, and more for keeping a streak going.

The draws

Buy numbered tickets from a few pence, or send a postcard and get one free — same pool, same odds. Send it early: a card has to reach us at least 48 hours before the draw closes to be entered. The winning ticket is drawn from a pool locked before the draw, so nobody, us included, can move it afterwards.

The arcade

Same idea, instant answer. Your ticket either matches a winning number or it doesn't, and you know the moment you get it. The wheel, the foil, the case? Pure theatre over a result that already exists.

Prefer no theatre? Every arcade game is also a normal competition page with a plain instant result.

Arcade games take coins, and coins can't be bought — you earn them. That's what keeps a play free to make.

The social side — streaks and crews. Keep your streak going and it earns coins; a crew earns together.

Hub Coins: earned, never bought

Earned on tickets. Every ticket you buy earns coins, and the more you spend, the more you earn.

Earned by turning up. A small grant each day you log in, and more for keeping a streak going.

What they're for. Coins play the arcade. You can't buy them or sell them, and nothing turns one back into a pound.

Where your coins play:

Arcade games take coins for the whole play and nothing else, and their prizes pay out as themselves.

Fairness you can check without trusting us

Outcomes are decided on our servers — never in your browser, and never by an animation. Whatever you watch spin, scratch or open is showing you a result that already exists.

On a machine, that result exists before you do. The winning map is drawn and hash-committed when a machine goes live. After the first ticket exists the seal is refused outright, so no play can change what was already decided — yours only checks your number against a map that existed before you arrived.

What was recorded, when it was recorded, and how to check it yourself all sit on each competition's own verification page, beside the result they belong to.

Free entry, properly free

Every draw takes a postal entry that costs you a stamp. It takes a real numbered ticket from the same pool, at identical odds. Send it early: it has to reach us at least 48 hours before the draw closes, or it isn't entered.

Play it like entertainment

18+ only. Set a budget and keep it fun. There is a limit on how many entries one person can hold in a draw, and self-exclusion if you need it. If it stops being fun, stop — we make that easy, not hard.
