How this draw is run

Every draw runs on its scheduled close date regardless of how many tickets have sold. We never extend draw dates.

Entries close Tue 6 Oct, 20:00, and the winner is drawn from the tickets actually entered — paid and postal together, in one pool.

A ticket that is never sold cannot win, so a draw that does not sell out is drawn from fewer tickets than the total. The worst case is if all 57,400 sell — better if they do not. That is the least favourable reading, and the real one can only improve it.
