How this is provably fair

Before this competition opened, every winning ticket number was selected by a cryptographic RNG across the full pool of 26,000 tickets and locked in. A SHA-256 fingerprint of that winning map (plus a secret salt) was recorded at that moment. Playing only checks the number you were allocated against the map that already existed — nothing about your entry, your timing, or any animation can create, move or re-roll an outcome.

The animation on a machine is a visual metaphor; these numbers are the machine. Outcomes were fixed before opening. Tickets are dealt at random from the current block of the pool — nobody, including us, can time a winning ticket.

Winning ticket numbers stay sealed while entries are open — only the fingerprint above is published. The full map and salt appear here after the competition closes.

While sealed, map access inside Comp Hub needs a named permission and every read is logged against the reader's account, which is automatically cross-checked against entrants. Staff and anyone with map access are prohibited from entering.
